Meet Shaun, Alexa, and Erin!

Shaun’s hip dysplasia was treated in early childhood, but it never fully resolved. Shaun has never let his pain stop hip from living a full life. Shaun had a THR when he was 22. He continues to be active and lives by the mantra “I’m in pain but do it anyway.”
Alexa tells the story of her quest for a diagnosis and PAO surgery. She also shares some great advice “I also stopped saying ‘I can’t’ and added ‘yet’ to the end of every statement that had to do with my abilities.”
Erin is a teenager and co-founder of Positive PAO who under went a PAO and labral repair in 2021. She is gearing up for her next round of surgeries later in 2022 and brings hope and support to others going through hip dysplasia surgery.
