How will you move on October 9, 2021? I will be meeting up with some other hip dysplasia patients, families, and friends for a morning walk to enjoy some fresh fall air and then will be going for a bike ride to keep working on my leg strength after my recent surgeries.

Why do you support Miles4Hips and the International Hip Dysplasia Institute? I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in 2014. Since then I have undergone multiple hip preservation surgeries, including bilatreal femoral osteotomies in 2019 and 2021. I have met so many people with hip dysplasia, from infants through adults, and have witnessed the toll that this diagnosis can take on individuals and their families – physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and financially. My hope is that our collective efforts to raise awareness and support the International Hip Dysplasia Institute can help improve outcomes for everyone affected by this condition.
