Eve Harrison, Ontario, Canda

Eve is from North Bay, a small Northern Ontario, Canada town. She is in her second year of studying Health Sciences at Queen’s University. She loves snowboarding, hiking and canoeing.

Eve began experiencing debilitating hip pain at the age of 15. She spent six months on crutches searching for answers and resources. Eve visited numerous doctors, surgeons, and physiotherapists, before finally receiving a diagnosis in Ottawa, Ontario. She underwent both PAOs six months apart, just before her 17th birthday. Now, Eve lives a pain-free life and is more physically active than ever before! In the summer, she works as a Park Ranger in Algonquin Park, clearing portages and campsites. Additionally, she has taken up rock climbing and surfing since her hip surgeries.

Eve created @pao_resource_centre on Instagram to share her PAO story, others’ stories, recovery tools, and resources for those going through something similar. Eve is happy to be continuing her advocacy journey with the Miles4Hips team.
