Jonathan was born and raised in the Great White North. Living in Calgary Alberta (Canada), he enjoys making use of the mountains in his backyards whether it be nature walking, skiing, or just spending time outdoors.
Jonathan’s hip adventures started in 2008 following a minor car accident that left him dealing with chronic pain. After years of treating generalized low back pain he started to recognize the role his hips were playing in his mobility. A pursuit of answers and relief ultimately led to bilateral derotational femoral osteotomies in 2019 and 2020 to treat his severely retroverted hips. The surgeries were incredibly successful and have allowed Jonathan to return to a normal life that is not dictated by pain.
When he isn’t busy with his career in real estate you can usually find Jonathan in the kitchen experimenting with a new recipe or trying to build upon his baking skills. He is passionate about helping others, whether it be mastering the art of sourdough, finding the perfect home, or making informed decisions about one’s hip health. He is eager to support the Miles for Hips team to spread awareness and to give back to a community that was so helpful to him through his recovery.
